Wow. One of the best pizzas I have had in a while. Great crust great sauce. Real east coast cheese. And to top off a nice welcome by the owner Nick and the hostess with a dynamite smile Alexa, I am treated to a tasty cannoli just because. Awesome to say the least and worth a visit. Most people are getting pizzas to go. I sat and just ate with a smile.

I'm not sure what happened in a month but we are so sad that things have changed. We used to order once a week and this is the first time we've had it since the re-opening, unfortunately we will not return. Our pizza was less than average when it use to be extraordinary. I'm throwing away half of it as we speak. Giving it 3 stars because it used to be great and I'm hopeful it will be again SOON.

Couldn't tell you how the pizza tasted. Went there Tuesday June 16 at 7:42pm and the door was locked, neon sign said "Open" hours said til 10:00pm, place was empty good job Celestino's

I'm can't believe it took me so long to finally try this place! I've passed it countless times but never stopped by until today. The pizza is awesome at $3.50/slice, and the "Thirsty Thursday" beer deals are AWESOME. Seriously, $5 pitchers of any beer on tap?? Some of the beers right now are Odell IPA, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, and NB Slow Ride. You really can't beat those beer prices. I would recommend trying this place out - especially for the Thursday beer deals!

Good New York style pie.... Crispy crust and good prices... The cheese was ok but not great. One of the better pizza places in NoNo

Really? We've been calling for over an hour and they don't even answer. Even if they are busy they should have someone answering the phones.

This is the first time coming here, and I'm pretty happy with the results. The interior is really cool. I really like the pinball machine. If only I brought quarters, I would be able to play a game or two... :P My boyfriend and I shared a large pizza. We couldn't decide on which one we both wanted to eat. But the cashier informed us that you could get different two types of pizza on one pie. Perfect for sharing or if you want to try different things! I really liked the pizza. I'm not an expert on what New York pizza is supposed to be like, but I can say it was really delicious. It isn't very greasy and heavy like the ones you can find at Pizza Hut or Domino's. I ordered the Godfather. Highly recommended! Super flavorful and satisfying. I forgot the one that my boyfriend got, but he really liked it too. It's not my favorite in Fort Collins, but I'll definitely come back!

Doors have been closed for weeks. Phone not answered either. Supposedly going to reopen. I would call first. Do hope they reopen as their pizza was excellent.

Good pie near CSU Campus My son and I decided to try out Celestino's and we are fairly particular about our pizza pie. We shared a large pizza, one half pepperoni and the other half veggie. We ejoyed the NY style thin crust - - crust baked to perfection, right amount of sauce and cheese. They have a pinball machine - - too bad I didn't have any quarters to play. Could have broken a $5 for quarters at the cashier, maybe next time. Definitely worth checking out and supporting a pizzeria trying to do things differently and stand above the competition.

I was born and raised near NYC - Celestino's regular slice tastes like it's straight out of Penn Station. If you want to know what real New York pizza tastes like, you must get it here. It's perfect straight down the drips of oil that you wipe up with the crust. I only give it 4 instead of 5 because I wasn't necessarily a fan of their other things I have tried, BUT they've got that plain slice down to an art. I won't go anywhere else.

Having recently moved to Fort Collins from New York, we've been trying to find a good pizza place - this is it! Excellent thin crust New York style pizza and very nice owner. Super friendly! The garlic bread and cannolis are also a must. Definitely coming back for more.

Our kid could have gone anywhere in Fort Collins to eat for his bday and the little man wanted Celestino's! Super clean, great staff, most excellent pizza!

Great pizza made by incredibly sweet staff who take pride in what they put out. Came here a little over a month ago for a pepperoni pizza during an especially busy week and I was pretty tired. Pizza was taking much longer than expected and i was getting annoyed when one of the staff came up and let me know that they had pushed the pizza too far back in the oven and were making a new one for me. Totally worth the wait, and they even gave me the other pie free of charge! Sure, a couple slices were a little toasty and bent and I guess I'd have been slightly disappointed if I'd discovered that when I got home, but I'm seriously impressed that they went to all that trouble just to maintain the quality of their product. Definitely going to have to order another pizza and some beer this weekend now that the weather's getting nice...

I was born and raised in Chicago around some of the best pizzerias in the world. I have since lived in 4 other major metro areas around the US and I always search for the best pies in my area. I can say that Celestino's is the best NY thin crust chain I have come across. It is no doubt the best pie you'll find in FoCo. If it doesn't suit your wallet, you can always nab a coupon and head down the street to Pizza Casbah but you may miss out on one of the best pies of your life.

Amazing hand tossing skill!! We had great pizza and a great time! Best pizza ever! We also had some fine garlic bread in the mafia deal. The pizza was huge!

As someone who, in the past, spent many hours in front of a stone oven, rolling dough, tossing pies, and delivering pizza, I have to say Celestino's is hands down the best pizza in town. Fresh and tasty ingredients, delicious sauce, and the best dough I've tasted, ever...but it comes at a price. I'd like to diatribe about what expectations I have based on my experience but, it would not be fair. Of course, neither is paying for half toppings sometimes, but not others. Or being blamed for a botched delivery because the inexperienced employee answering the phone doesn't take down an apartment number. I have never visited Celestino's actual location, in the staff's defense. Perhaps I just have been unfortunate with new employees; we all know how summer industry jobs transition quickly here. Either way, I hope their pizza stays amazing and the staff works out some of the minor kinks. 5+ stars if that happens.

Bland pizza, but NOTHING tops the dead ladybug laying on my plate under my half eaten salad! Seriously? Waited 15 minutes just for the pitcher of beer. Tip to Business: properly wash salad and check for bugs BEFORE serving it. Tip to potential customers: save yourself the disappointment and walk down to Pizza Casbah instead! WAY better pizza and a sauce that actually has flavor. Plus, I've eaten there at LEAST 100 times, no bugs and no hairs, EVER!

I love this place. The pizza is nicely spiced, the pies are large, and the staff is friendly. I ordered a sausage roll one time because it was fairly well priced looking but what I got was so good and I would have expected to pay a bit more for something like this. I definitely would recommend this place to anyone that doesn't like the more bland or sweeter pizzas.

After an undergraduate career in Chico, California, where Celestino's originated, I can say it's a consistent part of my diet, especially during some rough days stuck on campus. Great location for getting a quick bite between classes or study sessions, just ride on through the oval and you're there. The pizza easily has Pizza Casbah beat. Celestino's offers a more authentic slice with more flavor and a lot less grease than the alternative. The sauce is tasty, but kept to a minimum and doesn't slide off the crust as I've found Pizza Casbah's to do. Best slice in town, try it out. Pizza Casbah is great for those late nights, but if Celestino's is open that extra block to travel is worth it. Ask for pesto on your slice!

Lived back East and real pizza is hard to find! One of the very best. Nice crust, excellent toppings. Always positive attitude by owner/manager.

For the longest time, I've been searching for the perfect New York-style pizza in Fort Collins. I've always preferred a thicker crust, mostly because it has better flavor and a more attractive texture compared to thin crust. The thicker-crust pizzas have always had an edge because there's been a fantastic balance between tasty toppings and a delicious chewy crust. It seems to be the ideal combination for my taste preferences. I haven't been able to find a New York-style slice that even compares. Until now. Fort Collins is full of pizzerias and everyone has their favorite place. When pizza comes up in conversation, you better brace yourself, because it's one of the most heated food topics in our city. Thanks to the pizza feature week I wrote a year or so ago, I quickly discovered how passionate people felt about their slices here. What's really interesting is that nobody really cares about thick-crust or deep-dish pizza - everyone is all about New York-style. Well, I've found it - the first New York-style pizza in Fort Collins that I really enjoy. After years of eating slices from all over - I've come up with a winner on my quest for the best thin crust so far. I found it at Celestino's.

On our way to the airport in Denver, we wanted pizza and looking for a place that wouldnt take to long. I havent always been a fan of New York-style pizza. I tend to like my crust thicker with lots of toppings. But I have to say that this was really good pizza. They had a good verity of toppings and the sauce was GOOD! It was very busy downtown in collage campus. But its well worth looking for a parking place.

It's quite a risk opening a NY-style, by-the-slice pizza place down the street from Fort Collins staple Pizza Casbah. It would have to be quite an amazing thin-crust slice to stand up against that juggernaut. Celestino's is exactly that kind of place. I hope this place makes it because it is, IMO, extremely delicious and at this point, some of the best NY-style pizza we have in town. Truthfully, most of the places in town make pretty decent by-the-slice pizza (Uncles, Positano's, and Pulcinella all do pretty well), but Celestino's tops them all. They have a cheap student special that provides a slice and drink, and good location with TVs, and a friendly staff. If you're looking for good by-the-slice pizza for your night out and about, this is the place to try.

Celestino's is hands down the best NY pizza in Fort Collins. It's now our standard Friday night destination.

Celestino's is second only to Pizza Casbah in my list of "favorite pizza places in Fort Collins". You'll pay a premium for the product but you get quality pizza. Find a slice that suits your fancy and run with it. Try to utilize a coupon for maximum value.

The ONLY true New York style pizza around! Absolutely the best pizza in town.

  • Ryan M.

Great pizza and a nice selection of draft beer from the local area. The staff are friendly with helpful recommendations. The pizzeria itself is roomy and comfortable. I had their spicy Luau and The God Father by the slice. Really good -- but make sure you like ricotta if you go The God Father! Nice combo with pesto. They use a really crispy thin crust with a nice quantity of toppings. I'm not a fan of pizza that is mostly dough by weight! They get it right.

  • Michelle N.

Amazing!!! I am really picky with my pizza, and this is literally the best pizza I have ever had, not just in Fort Collins. The place is clean with televisions. Great customer service, the pizzas are huge (the medium is the size of most larges) and the cannolis are to die for (they are an added bonus). They are pretty cheap, and have really good deals on top of their normal prices.

I've never been a fan of NY-style pizza -- until today. Just had a simple pepperino slice of pie fresh outta the oven.....my oh my, goodness personified !!

Ok, didn't care for cheese at all. Wasn't impressed and was really hoping to be. Toppings seemed high quality but not cheese & sauce did nothing for me.

  • Sabrina K.

I'm from NY and one thing that irritates me a bit about FC is that it's virtually impossible to find actual good NY style pizza. Well, I found it and totally recommend this place. The chicken parm was good as well (not 100% correct, but that's just me). I would order from there more if there was online ordering.

  • Ryan J.

This place is excellent. The pizza is good but it is all of the other things that make this place great. I really enjoy the Philly. Tastes better than Taste of Philly, is bigger and costs less. Definitely check this place out.

  • Iris T.

The pizza was great. The crust was thin, not too crispy and the slices were big. It was nice being able to buy pizza by the slice. Ordered the pepperoni pizza and it was delicious! The fries were good too. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They've got a nice atmosphere. I would come back again.

  • Tanis R.

30 minute wait on a Friday night for a slice of cheese pizza?!? And the staff was rude about it. I love their pizza but am pretty disappointed. Call first and make sure they have what you want if you are looking for slices!

  • Sarah S.

Celestino's serves up the best pizza in Fort Collins, but only because there isn't an Anthony's. The crust is pretty bland, but the pizza is otherwise flavorful, the wings are tasty and they have a decent selection of beers on tap. It's a great place to take the fam for an inexpensive dinner. Take it to go if you don't enjoy the sounds of blaring televisions.

Great pizza. There are so many mediocre pizza joints in FoCo, it's mind blowing. You need to stop by here and get some pizza. This place does pizza right.

Good choice - but c'mon, people need to stop saying something is New York pizza unless it is in New York. It's in the water.... Meanwhile, we were a group of six and the owner (I believe) suggested the Mafia special which was a large (very large!) pie with two toppings, garlic bread and four drinks. This, plus an order of mozz sticks with excellent marina and a large special salad (yummy!) was plenty for us! The pizza WAS good and probably 80% close to Tony Manero double slicing and folding - but was too thick to fold. The ratio of sauce to cheese was good, and the crust was well-cooked and tasty. Salad was fantastic! Very friendly service. We were there alongside a table of six or eight local police and everyone knows cops know the best places to go for quality and value! We'll be back!

My family visited Celestino's for the first time last week, and we were very happy with the food, atmosphere, and the friendly and quick service. The pizza is very good - great crust and a very nice sauce. We'll certainly be returning - very good value for the money, and miles ahead of any delivery pizza.

We came here for my son's birthday. Everyone loved the pizza. We also ordered pizza rolls, salads, and cannolis...everything was amazing, and the service was awesome.

I'm originally from NY and have eaten pizza all over the U.S. Celestino's is as close to NY-style pizza as you can get 1600 miles from NYC, and it has the best pizza in Fort Collins. Prices are very reasonable, the salads are also good, and the staff behind the counter is friendly and accommodating.

  • Andrew B.

Ive eaten here twice and both times the pizza and service has been very good. Classic New York style pizza by-the-slice. Toppings and cheese covered the pie uniformly without drowning in sauce. Tom Jones and Luau were good. The Luau was a surprise - I don't like pineapple on pizza, however, I do like pepperoni and jalapenos on pizza, so I ate it anyway . . . and it was tasty. Service was good and the staff was friendly. I give them an extra star because they had jalapenos and pepperoni on pizza by-the-slice ready to go.

  • Jessica T.

Hands down this is my pick for the best pizza in Fort Collins and we've tried about 90% of them. The cheese, sauce, crust, and the quality of the ingredients are superb. They also have some pretty good specials and their ranch is to die for! The only complaint that I have is that their hours are very strange. Some days they aren't even open in the evenings? Just plain odd for a college pizza place.

Being from Philly we know what good pizza tastes like, and have been searching for a worthy pie since we moved here 9 years ago. Somewhat jaded after many letdowns, we decided to try Celestinos... and were pleasantly surprised. The crust and sauce are right on, the flavor is genuine and the toppings plentiful. We've made Celestinos our take out place every Friday ever since, even though it means a bit of a hike from our home. Our only small complaint is the inablility to handle the crowd during busy times. There is only one cashier who is taking orders and handing out pizzas to those picking up. This means if your pizza is ready, you still may have to wait several minutes for the undecided customer in front of you to check out before you can leave. Another cash register would be helpful. But the guys always set you up with a free soda and some conversation while you wait, so not entirely unpleasant. If you haven't checked them out yet, give it a try. I have no other place in Fort Collins that compares... and yes, we HAVE tried them all.

This place gets my first Yelp review ever because it's so good. My fiance and I went earlier this evening and ordered a large Tom Jones (sausage, pepperoni and canadian bacon) so we'd have enough for lunch the next day. It was larger than we expected and super delicious! The crust is perfect - nice and chewy with a crisp bottom - and the toppings to crust ratio was right on. Aside from the great pizza, the staff is friendly! We've only lived here for a few months and this place has by far the best service of the places we've been in Fort Collins. The guy who took our order and made our pizza (tall guy with a shaved head) seemed to actually care if we liked the pizza, boxed up our leftover pizza for us, thanked us for coming in, and then thanked us again on our way out. As a person who has worked in restaurants and customer service for 14 years, I appreciate that - and unfortunately, it doesn't happen that often in other establishments. AWESOME PIZZA and SERVICE!

Yummy stuff! They have a good variety of slices and do a nice job switching it up throughout the week. Affordable + delicious pizza + clean + friendly staff + close to campus = great place for lunch/dinner.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
